Powertec Power Rack Home Gym System System has backing plates all round, thick high tensile nuts and bolts which give it rigidity and a weight load capacity of 1000lbs. It also comes with adjustable dip handles and chin up bars.

The cage provides a safe method of performing all of the barbell power exercises such as squats, rows, dead lifts and all pressing movements with the security of the adjustable spotter bars. You set them just below your bottom out point for bench press, squats etc. You can complete a full range of motion on the exercise safely, but have the spotter bars available if you can can't complete the set.

Let's face it, if you want to throw around heavy free-weights without a spotter you have two choices. The first being a smith-machine, which is very limited in terms of exercise choice and range of movement. The second is the power-rack, probably the most versatile piece of equipment you could buy. Powertec obliges with their offering of a solid cage at a great price. I have tried numerous racks and can honestly say that Powertec is THE best in its price range. While I paid 350 for mine, you can probably find it cheaper since I bought directly from Powertec. I really have no complaints about this rack except it's height, it's not tall enough for standing military presses. I realize that people with space requirements probably don't consider this an issue since you can substitute with seated presses. As a final note, Powertec has a great service department, if you need something all you have to do is give them a call and they'll put a replacement in the mail right away. I currently have a rack, bench, and 300 pound weight set but will soon be adding a Powertec leverage squat and lat pulldown machine. I'll be reviewing them as soon as I have had ample test time.
